Our Fabrication and Machining Services
Punch/Laser Cutting
Our West Midlands facility houses Amada CNC Fibre Lasers and Combination Punch Machines handling sheet sizes up to 4m x 2m and up to 25mm thickness across multiple material types. We support stand-alone high-volume cutting alongside your integrated fabrication needs; simply provide CAD files, specifications, quantities and timelines for competitive quotes.
Bending/Forming
Our expertise in precision forming utilises a fleet of 5 CNC brake presses, capable of bending materials from thin aluminum to hardened steel in lengths up to 4m. This allows us to consistently produce tight-toleranced bent parts, panels, enclosures, and assemblies. This is for both high-volume production runs and custom fabrication projects.
Welding
Utilising 13 welding bays and robotic cells, our metal welding expertise spans MIG, TIG, Laser, Spot and Projection techniques. We can deliver flawless welds on projects up to 10m x 6m x 4m and 10 tonnes in weight. Whether it’s prototyping, small batch runs or large complex fabrications with machined elements, we have it covered.
Precision Machining
Our Machine Shop manufactures precision prototypes, small batches, and OEM production parts across a range of materials to aerospace standards. Specialist Vehicles
Universal is a proven manufacturer of sheet metal fabrications and machined parts for specialist vehicles. Our team has extensive experience handling full vehicle conversions for emergency, special purpose, and military applications. These conversions include ambulances, riot vehicle protection, and armored Toyota Land Cruisers. We also fabricate cages for police vehicles.
Our Fabrication and Machining facilities are complemented by a dedicated building for Vehicle Assembly and Paint Finishing. Our cranes can operate up to 10 Tonne loads.
